Tecs 2 is a programmable pulse generator for trans esophageal electrophysiological studies. It's small and very light, very flexible and simple to operate and program using just a few multifunction keys. The device is powered by alcaline batteries, a long duration is assured.

Pre-programmed transesophageal protocols are available: BASIC, WENCKEBACH, SNRT, FAST, RAMP, BURST, EMERGENCY . For all protocols, except Emergency, pacing may be started asynchronously or synchronously with the spontaneous rhythm. The parameter configuration set for each protocol may be stored in 6 memories for each protocol.

Extrastimuli : three extrastimuli are available with automatic decrementation of the single delays, and second or beats pauses.

 

 

Leads for transesophageal stimulation

TOEC leads for transesophageal stimulation are made up of golden plates brass electrodes, placed at fixed distance. They can be introduced oral or rhinopharyngal approach, the sheath material is radium-opaque, which permits easily the positioning under X-ray control.

 

Available models:

• TOEC 2: 2 electrodes, one on the tip and the other at 30 mm of distance
• TOEC 4: one tip electrode and the other 3 electrodes 23 mm apart
• TOEC 6: an esapolar lead with an interelectrode distance of 15 mm
• TOEC PEDIATRIC: one electrode on the tip and the others 10 mm apart, with a medium sheath diameter of 2.4 mm .

 

 

Leads for transesophageal stimulation

TELTIN leads for transesophageal stimulation are characterized by particular electrodes designed with an innovative shape improving the contact with wall of esophagus and then they are coated by nitride of titanium in order to reduce polarization events.
Thanks to balanced electronic configuration, it is possible a reduction in threshold pacing over 25%, besides a drastic reduction of stimulation artifact.
They can be introduced indifferently both in oral and in rhinopharyngal way, the sheath material is radium-opaque, making easier the positioning of the lead under X-ray control.

• TEL 3520: 2 electrodes, one on the tip and the other at 30 mm of distance
• TEL 3540: 4 electrodes, one tip electrode and the others at 30-10-15 mm of distance
• TEL 3545: 5 electrodes, one tip electrode and the others at 8-12-12- 8 mm of distance
• TEL 3543: 3 electrodes, one tip electrode and the others at 25- 25 mm of distance
• TEL 2543 pediatric: 3 electrodes, one tip electrode and the others at 12- 12 mm of distance
